29.1.21

Happy Friday everybody! We’ve made it through another week and we are so unbelievably proud of you all. You are all engaging so well with your home learning and we love seeing you during our live sessions.

Next week is Children’s Mental Health Week and from 1-7 February 2021 schools, youth groups, organisations and individuals across the UK will take part in various activities. This year’s theme is Express Yourself. Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good. It’s important to remember that being able to express yourself is not about being the best at something or putting on a performance for others. It is about finding a way to show who you are, and how you see the world, that can help you feel good about yourself. For Children's Mental Health Week 2021 we will be encouraging the children (and adults) to explore the different ways we can express ourselves, and the creative ways that we can share our feelings, our thoughts and our ideas and this is reflected in our planning.

Planning for next week is on the Yr 3 Google Classroom page and also under the home learning tab on the Year 3 page of the website. Please be aware that for Music next week your child will need TWO LONG BALLOONS to construct their cutlery glockenspiel. The lesson can be found on the planner if you would like to take a look beforehand.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we’ll see you on Monday morning at 9:30. Remember to keep washing your hands, try not to touch your face and keep distanced from people who don’t live in your household and hopefully we’ll have you all back together in school soon.

The Year 3 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
