Year 1 Blog 23.05.25

Date: 23rd May 2025 @ 2:35pm

Another busy and productive week in Year 1!

During indoor PE, the children continued devising sequences based on pushes, pulls, slides and turns. More creativity! In outdoor PE, Year 1 have enjoyed jumping and racing during athletics. Of course, Sports Day is only around the corner!

Our bean diaries have continued this week. The children have enjoyed watching their plants grow and adding to their diaries on a weekly basis.

Year 1 have loved art lessons this week! The children have created watercolour paintings on cartridge paper. After the half term break, the children will add further detail to complete their masterpieces!

Have a wonderful break and thank you for your support.

We will see you in Summer 2 for our final half term of the year!

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
