An extremely busy, active exciting week in Year 1!

On Wednesday, we very much enjoyed our trip to Formby beach looking at the various human and physical features. We also looked at some of the different shells and grouped them accordingly. Of course, we enjoyed making sand castles and having the best time! Please take a look at some of the photos!

Also, on Wednesday, the children in Year 1 enjoyed their skipping workshop! Wednesday was a very active day!

Next week… final week! On Monday, we will be walking to church with our buddies for the leavers’ service. 1P will be at the first service and 1H will be at the second service.

Please can we ask that your child brings a plastic or recyclable bag to school on Monday as they will be tidying their lockers ready for summer!

And finally, we finish for school on Tuesday 22nd July at 2pm.

Thanks for your continued support,

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
