Y6 Weekly Blog 5.7.24

Date: 5th Jul 2024 @ 3:21pm

Year 6 have continued to work really hard on the Leavers' Show this week, paying particular focus to the songs and dances we will perform as a year group. These can be found on the Year 6 Home Learning Page to practise at home. Keep on polishing your acts and dances too!

The children were extremely mature when completing our learning on Growing Up and the changes through puberty, with sensible questions and discussions being held throughout. We have started to construct our moving toys, with the children assembling frames and making the CAMs and followers which will make their automitons move.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
