Wow! That half term flew by!!

But we sure did cram alot in.

The York trip was the highlight of this half term and the children all had an absolute ball . They were a credit to the school and the people of York were impressed with their politeness and impeccable behaviour.

This week we said goodbye to one of our Y5 pupils who is moving to a new school after half term. We wish Triona the very best as she begins her new jouney of memories.

We have had lots of end of term quizes this week and we are proud of how well each and every child has adjusted to the change in the timetable.

As well as this we have fitted in our athletics lessons as well as yoga and dodgeball. It has been great to see the children inspired by others to improve on their previous best jumops and throws.

We are nearly at the end of our Plastic Pollution topic in English, and next half term, the children will be planning their piece of writing which will be their speech that they will perform to either the whole class or a small group, depending on their wishes.

We would like to wish you all a safe, relaxing and enjoyable extended half term holiday.

From all of us in Year 5.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
