Year 6 ended the year with their unique, weird and wonderful Leavers’ Show. There was a huge variety of talents and entertainment on display including comedy sketches, instrumental performances, singing and dancing. The Year 6 staff wish to congratulate the children on leading their own incredible show, as well as thanking staff across school for their support, both on the night, and in preparation for the event.

We would also like to thank parents and carers who encouraged their children, as well as supporting with costuming and props. It was an unforgettable evening, finished off with our annual awards. The winners, in no particular order were: Eli Slater (Mrs Cowey’s Young Leader Award), Jenny Murray (Resilience Award), Jess Ball (Learning Outside of the Classroom), Scott Hooper (LEARN Award), James Davis and Jude Williams (Mrs Down Maths Award), Emily Lauder (Music Award), Lottie Birbeck (Parker Bailey Award), and Josh Hind (Allan Waplington Award).

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
