Year 5 Blog 23/1/26

Our learning opportunities have continued at great pace this week. We have completed and assessed the unit of fractions, for the time being. This will be revisited in a few weeks. The next phase is multiplication and division which should bring some welcome relief to the children.
In English, their build-up work of The Nowhere Emporium writing is taking great shape, with a great amount of year 5 devices being used effectively.
Our History/topic work focussed on if Alfred the Great was truly great. The children made inferences from the evidence and came up with their own perspectives.
Music continues to polish our Brass performance which sounds wonderful. We are so impressed with how far the children have developed. This will be sent as a direct message aswell to inform that their grand finale performance will take place on Tuesday the 10th of February between 2:40 and 3:00. We hope to see you there and look forward to it.
A host of 5R's children have had a fantastic time on their Bikeability courses. Well done to all that have completed it so far.
