Week 2 of Autumn 2 is complete, rounded off with a wonderful celebration of Children in Need. The children looked fantastic! A huge thank you for your donations!

Work has continued at a good pace with our build up writing in English. Their understanding of the characters' emotions is superb and as such, has led to some wonderful writing.

Maths sees us delve into the world of Multiples and Factors. A tricky concept to grasp but one that they are taking in their stride. The noticing of patterns in factors and multiples has been very interesting.

Topic work has looked at the structure of our galaxy and solar system. This will be accompanied by our understanding of night and day which will be taught next week.

Next week is assessment week and we will be carrying out our quizzes with the whole year.

WE hope you have a fantastic weekend!

The Year 5 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
