Year 4 Blog 18.7.25

Date: 18th Jul 2025 @ 2:00pm

We’ve just completed our last full week in Year 4, before the children’s well-earned summer break!

In English, the children have completed their writing explaining the digestive system. They all used super description and language specific to the digestive system.

In Geography the children have been looking at different European countries. They have each chosen a country to research and will produce a super persuasive leaflet about their country of choice.

On Wednesday, the children had a fantastic time during their skipping session! They showed great enthusiasm and determination as they learned new skipping techniques. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow and their skills improve with each try. By the end of the session, many were able to skip for longer and even try some fun tricks!

On Thursday they excitedly watched the Year 6’s dress rehearsal, which was action packed, and full of talented acts.

4C also had their long-awaited Golden ticket celebration, choosing to make dens and eat popcorn, whilst watching a film.

To end the week, the children even enjoyed a ‘Break the Rules Day! They were delighted to have a day that wasn’t rule led.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

4C: Ella      4WM: Harrison and Joshua

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning in Year 4.

We hope you all have a relaxing, sunny summer!

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
