Date: 16th May 2025 @ 9:03am
We have had a great week of learning in Year 4.
In Maths, the children have been started their topic on Decimals. They have been working with tenths and hundredths.
In English they have developed lots of sentence stacking lessons based on The Secrets of a Sun King, and are ready to start planning their own diary about the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb.
In RE, the children have continued looking at what it means to be a Hindu in Britain today.
In Art, we have explored how 3D work is displayed on plinths of varying sizes. They have been looking at the work of Thomas J Price, who make large bronze sculptures based on ordinary people.
In PE the children have continued their athletics lessons, improving their javelin throwing techniques.
In science, they have continued finding out about sound and have been looking at the scientific vocabulary.
