Year 4 blog 13.6.25

Date: 13th Jun 2025 @ 12:25pm

The children have been busily working again this week! They are definitely ready for a relaxed weekend.

They have continued finding out about Europe. They have identified where European countries are located using an atlas. They have enjoyed looking at different landmarks and have been finding European rivers and mountains.

In Science, the children have been looking at how the digestive system works, and coming across lots of new vocabulary. They were lucky to have a visitor on Monday, who explained how important it is to look after our teeth, and how the mouth is the beginning of the bodies digestive system.

In PE, they excitedly enjoyed the start of their cricket lessons and worked well master their throwing and catching techniques.

We have also had a great afternoon singing with Ex Cathedra, fine tuning all the songs we will be joining in with when we visit The Atkinson in a few weeks.

The children have completed their Times Table Check, so they should all be very proud of their positive attitudes and achievements.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

 4M: Eloisa

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
