What a great time the children are having!

On Wednesday, they enjoyed walking with their buddies to church, to watch the amazing Year 1 Nativity service.

Later in the week, they excitedly walked to church again and met with Mat, were they helped to make Christingle’s. They managed to make 175 of them, ready for the service on Sunday.

In English, the children have been descriptive writers! They have written their own imaginative versions of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse from the Fox’s point of view.

During RE, the children have discussed Advent and have been completing a selection of activities linked to the lead up to Christmas.

Next week, is a shorter week in the lead up to Christmas. The children have their fun Christmas takeover day to look forward to next Tuesday, which includes their Christmas party! So, no doubt they will be full of the Christmas spirit. It’s Christmas dinner day on Wednesday and we will be going to Range, to watch some of our St Luke’s children take part in The Jolly Christmas Show, following that.

A big ‘well done’ to our weekly Superstars:

Elliot 4C and Arthur 4M

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

We wish you all a very happy Christmas and look forward to an exciting 2026.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
