Year 4 Blog 11.7.25

Date: 11th Jul 2025 @ 12:31pm

We’re still going strong in year 4 and have enjoyed the sunny week.

In English, the children have planned their writing, explaining the digestive system, using lots of technical language and detail. They are going to write up their super explanations next week.

In Maths, the children have been working out the perimeters of shapes and converting units of measure.

In Geography the children have been looking at climate zones within different European countries.

In Science we investigated which drinks are good or bad for our teeth! We chose five different liquids and observed how each liquid affected egg shell over time.

The children happily met with their Year 5 teacher on Friday morning. They are well and truly ready for their new classes in September.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

4C: Oliver

4M: Harry and Molly

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning in Year 4.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
