Learning for Living Essay Competition
The annual 'Learning for Living' essay competition took place this week with all seven primary schools taking part. Our entrant, Jenna, became the overall winner of the junior section. Her essay, entitled 'Don't judge a book by its cover', discussed the importance of celebrating diversity at home, in our communities and across the world. Jenna said, 'Learning about others helps me to understand and respect that there are other ways of doing things. I was really surprised when I won. I didn't think it would be me. My mum and dad are very proud of me.'
The competition is run by Southport Soroptimists and St. Peter's, Formby Educational Trust.
