Year 4 blog 21.1.22

Date: 21st Jan 2022 @ 2:19pm

We’ve had another super week in year 4 and thankfully the weather has been dry for us again!

In English, as a result of gathering lots of evidence, the children have written their letters to persuade the people of Greenville that Dr X is a kind man.

In maths, the children have been dividing 2 and 3-digit numbers and are becoming more confident when using the expanded division method.

In science, they have been predicting and testing, complete and incomplete circuits.

In Art, the children have been sketching objects by using different sketching techniques. They produced their pictures by using one continuous line.

Well done to our Weekly Superstar: 4C: Ava T and Eliza 4W

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
