Year 3 Weekly Blog (4. 9. 20)

Date: 4th Sep 2020 @ 10:04am

A big welcome back to all of you! It has been so lovely to have our classrooms full of children and chatter this week and we have loved getting to know our new classes.

Everyone seems to have settled well and is enjoying our 'Sunshine after the Rain' work that has helped to ease the children back into school.

Thank you to everyone who has contacted us via email to school admin as opposed to coming into school or sending handwritten notes, this is really helping to maintain social distancing and keep us all as safe as possible.

We have tried to change each child's reading book this week but we currently have a huge shortage within some of the levels. Could you all please have a look at home for any school books sent home at the beginning of lockdown and return them to school ASAP - thank you!

Finally, our outdoor games lessons are on Monday and Thursday. Children should come to school wearing their outdoor Games kit on both of these days. They will need to be wearing trainers as opposed to pumps and will also need a waterproof coat as we will have Games regardless of the weather!

Here's to a happy and successful year - it's great to be back!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
