Year 3 Blog - 22.1.21

Date: 22nd Jan 2021 @ 1:23pm

22.1.21

We have made it to the end of another week and the children seem to be settling into this new routine that has become life for us all once again.

Everyone is working hard and it is lovely to see you during the live sessions to say ‘Hello’ each day. Those of you accessing the sessions at a different time, keep working hard, but maybe try to log in to some of the live sessions just so that you get a chance to see your friends and give a little wave.

The planning for this week is once again saved to the Year 3 Google classroom but also as a word document on the Year 3 page of the website, under the home learning tab, as requested by some parents.

Next week we will continue with Art, Science and PE during the afternoon as well as Music. Please be aware that your child will need a few basic items to engage fully in the music lesson and these include 5 clean, empty and safe to use tin cans and 2 large elastic bands. (However, I did use a massive bobble!) You can view the session in advance if you would like by clicking the link on the planner. Science this week can also be as practical as you would like. In school we would normally carry out the experiment shown on the video clip. If you’re feeling adventurous have a look at the clip in advance to see what you will need.

Here’s to another week of Home Learning. We hope it is a happy one. Keep working hard and remember we are so proud of you all!

The Year 3 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
