Don't forget: Wear a Hat to School day is on Thursday 28th March, our last day of term. We are requesting a voluntary £1 donation to Brain Tumour Research, a charity close to our hearts, having lost staff and parents to this cancer over the last few years. Thanks for your support!

Year 2 blog 5.3.21

Date: 5th Mar 2021 @ 2:20pm

What another busy week we have had! We have heard and seen some amazing superhero stories filled with lots of adventures and some beautifully illustrated superhero settings on Purple Mash too. All of the staff in Year 2 are so proud of all of  the children who have joined in with enthusiasm during our Google classroom lessons, shared lots of super ideas and have shown perseverance when some things have been a little tricky. A big thank you to all of the adults at home too, who have continued to show support with learning at home during a very busy time.  We can not wait to see everybody's smiley faces back in school on Monday morning!   I am sure the children will also be thrilled to see their friends again.

Next week, all children will come to school in their PE kit on Wednesday (10th March).  PE days going forward will be every Tuesday and Friday, so the children come to school in their PE kits on these days (starting week beginning 15.3.21).

Reminder: Y2 Superhero Day

As part of the Superhero topic we will be having a year 2 ‘Superhero Day’ on Friday 19th March where the children can come to school dressed in a superhero costume. We understand the difficulties and expense of shopping at the moment so please don’t worry if you haven’t got a suitable outfit. The children can wear bright colours or a superhero t – shirt/ pyjamas.

Wishing you an enjoyable weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday.

The Year Two Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
